DarkRoom was initiated in 2006 as a documentary film production company. Later its role was developed to a new degree including Film & Drama, TVC, Multi Camera Production, Editing & Graphic Designing, Print Media Production, Industrial Photography, Event Management, Web Designing & Digital Marketing. Today it is a team of creative photographers and videographers, visual technologists, event managers, editing and graphic designers.
Over the past decade and a half, DarkRoom has proven to be an extremely reliable service provider, furnishing unique productions comprise creativity, high quality, reasonable price and punctuality.
Kelum Kumara Mohottige

Founder of DarkRoom
Kelum Kumara Mohottige laid the foundation to his career as a Photographer of Lakdiva in the early 1990s, later he became the Chief Photographer of Hiru. In 1996, He founded Sithijaya Magazine and utilized his skills as its Chief Editor. He Served as a Creative Director of "Mindfor", "Timaya", "Selacine". In 2006, initiating "Darkroom" as his very own institute is a remarkable moment in his journey.
In 2003 he represented Sri Lanka at the Environmental Journalists' Workshop in Nepal and the Documentary Filmmakers' Workshop in Thailand. His first book “Himalaya Pamula” was released in 2014, which was written based on his visit to Nepal.
He is a dedicated and motivated individual with a solid education background and serves as an External Lecturer of University of Kelaniya, Colombo and SLTTI.He holds a Postgraduate Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Kelaniya.
